New to this but need help!

Hi, everyone i just wanted to get some information about a Mercedes i have it is a c230 kompressor sports 1998, it has just been a week i have brought it and when i start it and accelerate, it don't rev then just randomly when i put my foot on it it revs perfectly, but i got it check from garage and they said it can be the fuel now because it needed a service which i have done and its still the same it feel to me that the petrol needle in the car doesn't work properly. when it goes below half tank it starts to do that now its on 3/4 tank and it drives perfect, what can i do now? this is the first Mercedes i brought and it has put me off them because of this problem.

first welcome...2nd hang in there...everything fixable..i know "Jack" about how to fix these brilliant cars but others will be along to offer advice...take it to a good indie and she be right as rain in no time and you can enjoy the car for what it is

17 and 35 are pumps as the tank is split in 2 halves, one of the pumps is not working

ok i will try and check that tomorrow but do you know weather these cars drink a lot of petrol or is it something else because who ever i show the car to they say this car drinks a lot is that true?

You need to check the fuel pressure when its below 1/4 of a tank, that should confirm your fault.

They are not that thirsty at all

the fuel doesn't go lower than 1/2 once it go a little down the car don't start after so i haven't seen the needle go on 1/4 yet
