Hey folks as u see in title i finally got my first mb its an clk 230 kompressor, from 2000 ! it rolls like its brand new no extra noises nothing besides some minor problems (i hope) like bad contact in seat controler, maybe needing a new motor to front window washer cause water not coming out maybe its rusty or something, the thing is when i press ESP button nothing happens in dashscreen does anyone have any idea what can it be? Thanks. and sorry for not perfect english :D WhatsApp Image 2020-05-13 at 12.30.44.jpeg WhatsApp Image 2020-05-13 at 12.31.15 (1).jpeg WhatsApp Image 2020-05-13 at 12.31.15.jpeg

welcome, first and cheapest check is the brake light switch. These are known to cause problems.
If that doesn't work it could be an ABS sensor malfunction
neither is an expensive repair at all.
Nice car by the way- guessing you're in Poland?

Welcome nice car I had a 2001 CLK200K loved it. Rust is a problem with that year but yours looks very nice.

The ESP button should just turn off part of the traction control system. If that's working I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and the awnsers, also for the complimennts to the car! its indeed very good for a 20 years old car, it has 206000km's i guess you guys count it in miles its aprox 128000miles i think its nothing for a mb right? its a bit dirty and not so well treaten in the inside but i will take care of it and let you all see the before and after, for the outside i think i will change nothing, looks good all original to me. maybe some touches in the paint and rims but thats it. those are all the pics i have at the moment but i will take some more to post later on. by the way the P in the plate is for Portugal, poland usually is PL. Cheers everyone !

i understand but when i press the button ESP should light something in the dashboard right? some kind of warning telling me it's OFF but when i press nothing happens, the electrician is already trying to find out what can be and i'll post the veredict as soon as i get it

Yes it lights the big orange triangle in the middle.
Check you have s full set of warning lights when the key is turned to the ignition position.

I think when you press the ESP button a light on the ESP button itself illuminates and not on the dash.

It looks in good condition for the age :)
Parts can be bought for generally reasonable prices. You are in the EU so shop around e.g. autodoc have a good selection.
Consider investing in a Mercedes specific code reader such as one of the icarsoft models. It will pay for itself in one use usually.

Have fun.
