wouldnt it have a Q plate rather than a 58 or 09 plate?

an 09 plated W124 would be fantastic!! lol

I dunno why you'd want to do that though, all that effort getting it through SVA (which is changing its name and getting much more expensive this year) plus it would have to meet all current MOT and emissions regulations and you still might end up with a Q plate if they didn't agree with your definition of "new"

Be a great idea to use it to reshell a damaged or rusty one, but to stay legal and retain the plates you'd need to use pretty much all the parts from the donor car, Q plates may not be the work of the devil, but they make it harder to sell on, insurance companies dont like them and they are non transferable.

They say that its OK to forget where you parked the car in the car park, its not OK that you have forgotten how to start it when/if you do find it. So its OK for me to forget to post the link, because I knew where it was when I discovered it was missing...or something like that.

That is a bargain,god knows what it must have cost them. If it was registered as a q plate it only has to meet pre 72ish emmisions,which is only a visual check.
