new wing required for my 230te estate

hi all have just bought my first ever mercedes and its so good. i cant believe how comfortable the ride is and how well it has lasted through the years. the only problem is, as seems to be the case with these is my osf wing needs replacing due to a nasty rust patch that the bodyshop says is a new wing job. so the question is where can i get said wing without paying astronomic prices, if there is anywhere else other than mb. all help would be greatly appreciated. cheers, dusty.

Hello - glad you're enjoying the car.

Check the price of genuine Merc wings first. I was going to go with pattern wings at 80 to 100 quid a pop for the forthcoming work on my 210. However, genuine Merc ones are 150 each. The main point about spending the extra is the genuine wings won't need adjusting/holes redrilling - bolt straight on - whereas the pattern ones will almost certainly need some fiddly to fit.

Oh no no no no. the Vin number is on the car chassis plate and log book it will start off WDB123 or WDB124
