Newbie....C280 in Emerald Black!

Hi there, my name is simply "D". I purchased a 1998 C280 elegance about 4 weeks ago, to replace my previous C280 which was involved in a crash! I think (and hope) this is the only car I'll ever need....having fallen in love with one to replace my old E34 5 series. Some people may say I may be a bit crazy, but I think Mercs are better cared for than the equivalent BM's, with this one having a very low mileage, but a mass of history to back it up. My previous Mercs C280, C180, and SLK230 were all taken care of and were bought at low prices with great history and no rust!!

I want to keep my merc in very good condition, I am not a mechanic, but I am patient with a screwdriver and will try anything as long as it can be finished by a novice on a low budget in a weekend!

I have questions, but I will go to the relevant sites to get info....so this is just an intro.

In fact today was the only photo I've ever taken of my Emerald Black car where it nearly tried to look green

Absolutely.....took it for a good clean and "saw" the green briefly. It was a moment...one day I will try and capture a pic of it. I think merc is the only car I've gotten into with a sense of occasion given the price I paid for it....will get pics up soon!
