Hi just about to pick up my first MB (a 2007 280CDI estate) and realised it didn't have a cup holder!

Far from a show stopper, and I know this sounds stupid, but doing a lot of miles I enjoy a coffee whilst sitting on Mway. Is there a simple solution rather than investing in one of those LHD flip up things???

Any thoughts appreciated - assuming they are positive :)

Have a search on eBay for e class cup holder , I'd post a link but don't know how to do that . My Eclass has one , they are about £35 quid I think .

How much?
My Merc is the very first car I've owned that has cup holders ...... can't say I feel deprived. The need for cup holders is a very recent thing .... another import from America.
Yeah not cheap (probably cheaper elsewhere).
I normally just open the little cubby in front of the armrest and put my drink in there.

Seem to remember Sasha on here did a very high tech modification in her CLK....with a McDonalds fibre cup holder?

thanks guys - seen mixed reviews about these, "flimsy", "wrong side" etc - any experience of using them?

Had one for 5 years , never seen another suitable option . If it broke I would buy another tomorrow

Empty garage, awaiting new toy :)
Yea well unless they come out with a right hand drive version I find them useless,
as the thing flips onto the drivers side and sits under your left elbow with a hot drink in there its dangerous..
I take them out and put a few squash balls or even a rag in the bottom this supports a cardboard cup medium and large.

went ahead and got one and have to say it's fine - keeps my coffee at hand, and other than being aware of it when you need to move to park or reverse its fine.

The first time you burn your elbow and it spills on your left side/hip and you swerve the car it will be out of there.

Mind you I'm a big bloke so need plenty of room.
