newbie help again - trim chrome.

Hi

I havent needed to buy an parts for my car before, so please help!

I have a C200 K 56 plate avantgarde.

it's a small thing, but i want to replace the rear bumper chome trim.

Erm, i know this is dumb but what side do i need right or left? it is the drivers side i need to replace.

Also, i searched through the forum and found hte russian part site (excellent). could some be kind enough to confirm the part i need?

I think it is A2038855621

Unfortunately, i dont quite know what year the russian MB part site refers too.

If you car is a 203745 car then you do have the correct part,the handed left /right is taken when you are in the drivers seat

Re the Car number 203 is the group that your car belongs to and the 745 is the model within that group that you have taken the part number from,this all being correct,then you do have the right number.

I found the correct part A20388530219775, it's a bit expensive given it's strip of chrome. but there you are.

i am a little worried as the mercedes auto parts.co.uk said that you may have to remove the bumper to fit this? Is this true. It looks to me like a protective strip that one can just take off and push the new one on? I dont what to try it and damage anything, so has anyone ever changed the chrome protective strip on the rear bumper before? is it straight-forward?
