Hi all just recently switched from owning BMW s for 30years. To owning a eclass coupe 2014 350d bluetec amg sport plus and loving it!!! It has the red stiching on half leather half alcantara type material. With an alcantara sport steering wheel. Not sure if the wheels are from factory (i dont think so) but 19s are listed in vin decoder. You lot can probably tell me more about it !! I dont know what the standard sport plus spec was and whats extras lol.

Congrats on your E class. Great cars and I still miss mine (W212 saloon)
When you remove a wheel, take a look on the inside face. If they are OEM they will have a Part number beginning A*** **** *** stamped on a spoke.
The first 3numbers tell which car they were designed for, although some alloys fit different models.

I guess you have to learn how to use indicators again after 30 years in a Beemer

If you are reversing at the time, it could be the reversing sensors. Mine also does it when I get too near something at the front.

Alternatively it might be the seat belt warning ?

Thanks you maybe on too something as its happened twice when on a country lane with hedges on the roadside so maybe the side sensors

Does the car have a radar on it and an anti collision device. I’ve got an X250 pick up and when I drive past a section of road not far from my house it always beeps when it sees a street lamp. I’m confident it even applied the brakes on one occasion when I drove into a property with a substantial gate pillar on either side of the road. Just another theory for you.

'Distronic Plus' Radar Cruise Control. Gives audible warning if it thinks you're going to collide with something. If you correct, all good. Indeed it WILL brake for you if it thinks not so you're feeling it braked for you is probably right. Very advanced for its day. Also keeps a set distance from cars when in cruise. It works really well. Check and see if yours deffo has it.
