most have been sold to petrol heads some have been made for guys that have supplied wheels some have been ordered
my house has 5 bedrooms ,large living room and large family room, its full of motorsport bits ,oh and i forgot my motorsport room . i competed in the scottish rally championship for 25 years man and boy forest /tarmac
it holds all my trophys for that time . i also build model cars 1/24 scale
i will put up some of my rally pics if you guys are interested in motorsport

Although very well done I think it is probably a man thing.....not my cup of tea...but clever though

I was just going to say the same Lizzy. I can see how clever it is but from a woman's point of view, well they remind me of when men get a motorbike and put them on the wall instead of having a nice picture :shock:

i wish mate , mid life crisis time . kids all grown up and away grandchildren x 3
big hoose and only 2 of us in it rattling aboot like a pee in a drum .its great we hardly ever see each other except meal times and bed time lol:D
took delivery of new slk 200 now that really mid life crisis time. great to let the wind get through you hair if i had any left.:sad: spent most of my money on motorsport over 25 years . here are some piccs ,sorry about the quality of some of them as the have been coppied from photos.
this is where it all started in ninteen canteen mk1 escort big wing with an alfa romeo twincam and 5 speed box 200bhp

then after a few years crashing out of events i built a mk2 escort 1760 pushrod 185 bhp

then i built a cossie 3 door , 2ltr turbo 300 bhp .this meant i could crash faster and bigger :lol::lol::lol:

then i did it big time ,built a cossie 3 door 4x4 tarmac spec car brand new shell from ford motorsport new comp/engine 100% all new parts k reg 1992

at 57 years old you still need some excitement ,here is me at knockhill in my sons 400 bhp subaru playing with the young boys(that didnt sound right)
see an old dog still has some tricks up his sleeves

it a great car goes like stink ,wee built it .lhd from belgium first time i drove it i was trying to change gear with the window winder .

Fantastic.
Love to see those old cars put through their paces. Thanks for showing us the pics. Just amazing what was done with them at the time. I grew up tinkering with them as road cars and only regret not seeing the capri amongst them.
Such a pity we don't see so much of MB's nowadays doing what those rattly tin cans did back then, I'm sure even the modest ones would be more than capable, and just what I was saying the other day.
Your son is very lucky and must be very proud of his dad ;)
