Hi All
I’ve just bitten the bullet and replaced my Land Rover Discovery with a ’98 E240 Estate, I need a car that can occasionally seat 7 so the MB seems to fit the bill well.
Also looked at Volvo’s but don’t really like the looks or the way they drive in comparison the E Class, have been thoroughly impressed with my sister-in-laws ’88 E230 which has covered nearly 300K miles hence the decision to buy a Merc
In the past I’ve run Several BMW’s and still run a classic 911 which I love, have been very unimpressed with the Landy in comparison to the German cars, Hopefully the Merc will be much more like the former rather than the latter experience . The car has been bought from a reputable (at least I hope so) Mercedes specialist, comes with a full service history and 6 month warranty (for what they’re worth)
I’m after advice for who I should use for Servicing etc in the Heathrow / Egham Surrey area. Would rather use a specialist than a main dealer as in my experience with Porsche specialists they seem to be more knowledgeable and caring than main dealers who are really only concerned in making ££ and selling new models
