hi

after a couple of years break from MB (previous 94 E280 saloon) I recently purchased a cheap hack - its a high mile E200 auto estate (luckily hasnt had a tow bar on it!) The gearbox was replaced by MB of Newcastle a year ago (car cost me less than the cost to replace gearbox!!) and it's had lots of new parts since (brake lines, discs, fuel pumps etc etc)

the 95 E200 had the revised 16v 2.0 engine, I can't find any info on the specs. Haynes only covers the old 8 valve engine. haynes don't seem to cover the 93-95 revised models - would the haynes for the older W124 suffice?r

Is this the same as the 136hp engine fitted to the C200 of similair year? an engine service manual would be great!

does anyone have the engine serial number?

Also I'm looking for a retractable boot cover and a dog guard - any pointers?

cheers

Yes, your engine is the 111.941 as fitted to the '94-'97 C200. You would have to obtain Haynes manual 3511 for engine information. The Haynes W124 manual, 3253, does not cover this engine.
HTH, and welcome to the forum, Tom.

thanks for the quick reply :D

I see you have the 16v engine also.

so I can get the C200 haynes for the engine and the w124 haynes for the rest of the car. cool.
