Hi,

Im George, from Bath and have hankered after a c63 since their release !

'm struggling between the saloon / estate at the moment as i need to be able to put my bike in the car with ease and wondered if the rear seats folded down on the saloon to allow a bike to be put in the boot? I'd also like the PP for the lsd but not sure i fancy the floating disks at 1500, the non PP disks seem a lot more reasonable!

I'm quite surprised as to the insurance on these things, im 36 and i've been quoted 398 with Elephant which seems really good.

I'm also wanting to get some more information on tuning them, stage 1 I understand goes up to about 510. Stage 2, as i understand this should make 550 or so brake. I'd would like to ask - what mods do i need for this, presumably exhaust, filter, map? What brand exhaust should i get fitted?

I seem to be reading that MSL are the only tuners around the west of the uk, right?!

I look forward to speaking with you all soon !

Cheers.

Welcome to the forum George. MSL are indeed top guys to deal with should you go down the slippery road of tuning:D. MSL are based in Birmingham.

A remap and long tube headers should give up to 530bhp.
If you are looking to change the exhaust, IPE seems to be the chosen brand but they are very loud with headers!

Have a word with Acid at MSL when the time comes and he can take you through all your options with the varying costs.

Hi

A bike with a quick release front wheel might fit in a saloon

Pp discs and pads can be purchased for £900 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/152426314220

Tuning info as above but be aware the aftermarket exhausts are very loud and can ruin the tone of the car and sound a bit chav.

I think the factory exhaust sounds the best.

Buy an estate they are much cooler than saloons, both MSL and GAD will tune the cars. Make sure it has all the options

The S205 estate car is surprisingly small. I had one as a courtesy car and couldn't get my wife's bike in without removing the luggage cover due to narrow width of the boot.

Thanks all.. I think they look quite cool in estate format.. Got to find one to test drive this weekend.

What are the must have options..

I really want something with proper Bluetooth that I can stream music through - having 09 audi with a bose sound system was great, but lack of connectivity for the phone let it down massively - who uses cd's in 09 let alone 2017 !

Other options would be the spokey wheels not the star wheels.

Colour - black ideally but would take a dark blue !

COMAND will give you full integration and Sat Nav, the spoked wheels are 19" and essential in my book. Full Leather

It's COMAND (COckpit Management ANd Data)

Ride is good with 19" and the multi spoke wheels are only in 19", the 5 spoke are 18"

PDC (Park Distance Control) is standard as is powered tailgate.

PPP (Performance Pack Plus) is nice to have as has the LSD

Harmon Kardon sound system / DAB

This is a lovely example

Comand it is then.
I Do prefer the oz super t look a like wheels..

Yes, the lsd would be a must in such a car..

It s a nice example, BUT, I don't like the split coloured rims.

Do the saloons rear seats fold?!

Just look for the PPP but you have to make sure it has the LSD as later ones they removed it from the pack, you can have a Quaife LSD fitted by MSL for £1500, if you want it mapped then I am sure a deal could be had.

It is a polished silver lip round the wheel, they all have it as standard

Do the saloons rear seats fold?!

No idea

Avantguard Automotive in Clevedon would be my choice, there is one near Poole as well but the name escapes me

Not so sure....
but I can get my All Mountain bike in my SL in the 'back seat' if I take both wheels off and put them in the passenger footwell so if you put your bike in a bike bag it would fit in the rear seat area with ease.
Bit of a faff taking it apart all the time though....
