Hi all.

I'm new to the site, although I have been reading this for a while, and with your help I changed the discs and pads on my 1999 C220 CDI. Since I bought the car in January, I have performed all of the sensible diy servicing jobs;

Oil/Filter changes x 2
Fuel Filter -Forum help again
Air Filter

Garage jobs have been
Had the Air Con repaired (Ouchhhhhhhh) :eek:
N/S bottom ball joint replaced - it still creaks at stationary/slow speeds when the wheel is turned to the right though???

Before summer fades away and winter gets here I will do the glow plugs and replace the battery.

I look forward to contributing, and getting help and advice, you have saved me a firtune already.

Oh, by the way, this is my first Merc, and I'm smitten :D

Hello,
have you changed the ATF (assuming you have an auto box)? Lots of info here and the other forum for it.

Hi.

No I haven't changed the ATF, my car has covered 132,000miles, 10,000 since I bought it in January of this year. I have this feeling that changing the ATF and associated filter(s) could be tricky. I will check out the forum for advice. The changes are smooth from the auto 'box, but I can feel them.

Thanks for the welcome and advice.
