Apologies if already asked I did a quick search and failed miserably.

I've got a 54 C180 Kompressor Avantgarde with no internal headlight adjustment so I presume it's got the supposedly self-levelling headlights.

Without going into my personal history I never used to drive the car much but now I get to use it all the time and have noticed that the headlights I always thought were slightly raised are now blinding cars in front of me / coming towards me. When I pull into the street the lights are nearly shining at the top windows of houses

Anything I can do to rectify this at all ??

TIA

Dave

Hello Dave and welcome. If you have no adjustment, then they should be Xenon, do they come on with a flash and raise, is so they need to be set up on STAR to the correct height, it is doubtful that a leveling sensor has gone or the warning would have come up

I'll try it tonight but from memory there's a bit of a flash..never checked to see if they raise though - if I try turning them on when parked in the driveway say 10 yards away from the garage door and look for the height would that work as a test ?

Yes there is plenty of info on the web to test the height, yes aim the lights on level ground to the doors and you can check the hieght, I cant find the figures for the moment
