Just bought my first one, and it wont be my last. But for now i need a few jobs doing on it. Its a 94 C200 Elegance auto, and here's its problems.
1. The main one is the rear nearside eleccy window doesn't work. I knew this when i bought it, part of the bargaining tool. If i press the button either on the door or the front console i can hear a relay, in the boot i think, clicking away when i press. But no movement or sound from window. Is it the motor? Or have i missed something in the door, like a relay, before i strip it?
1a: (i forgot this one). Wiper. It works perfectly in all modes, but it doesn't sit all the way down when off. If i turn it on it goes all the way down then back up on it's cycle, but switch it off and it returns to its position, about 4 inches above where it should be. So im thinking relay??? Or can it's seating position be reset???
2.Some scratches around the rear bumper. The black isn't a problem, but the sort of inlaid silver strip might be. How do i find the colour match for that strip, or just spray it all similar silver, which will be a pain. But i want it looking right.
3. Dashboard bulbs. I reckon 2 have gone, which annoys me. So how easy to change dash bulbs, and is it possible to have them blue tint or similar cuz i do think the standard colours let it down.
