Just been stopped for doing 135kph in a 120 limit.
Fine was approx £5.50.If I'd been Thai it would've been £3.70,but I'm not complaining!

Where I come from we dont have a120 kph speed limit.Max is 100 with the odd concession to 110.
If you were here doing that speed that would have been 25 kph over which calls for a mandatory suspension of licence for six months and a $500.00 fine
No wonder you are not complaining.

It was on the road from Korat to Bangkok in my sister-in law's Isuzu pick up.
I always make sure I get an international driving permit before I come here, but they weren't interested in that, just the money.

The road from Alice down to the turn off for Uluru (Ayers Rock) has a limit of 130 kph and you need to be doing that to keep up with those bl**dy great trucks let alone trying to overtake them:evil::p:p

Whilst in Korat I saw a new Nissan Skyline in a restaurant car park - now that is a real tasty looking piece of kit.

I noticed when I was over there that all of the MB,s were Brabus owing to the road tax system

Not heard that one, seen plenty of MB's & they all look like normal MB's.
How does the road tax system make them Brabus?
I know they're very expensive over here.

It is the Basic CC of the engine that they are taxed on, by getting the Brabus they get much more power from the smaller engine
