Hi my E320 cdi is playing up a bit. Groaning noise coming from engine bay when stationary in traffic, doesn't cause any probs just annoying, sounds like something is running as well as the engine for a few seconds, if you get my drift. Front and rear parking sensors working visually via lights , but no bleeping, and display says front o/s parking light out, but it isn't, and wing mirror indicator, again o/s a bit intermittent when in use. Any help appreciated.

Cheers Richard

Could it be the radiator fan coming on briefly?

What sort of dealer? MB on other? 100 miles or not, unless it was the deal of the century I'd take it back and wouldn't pick it up again until it was sorted. There's plenty more to choose from.

This could just be the SBC pump as Pete said,, there is a mod for very bad cases

the wing mirror repeater will be due to broken wires where the mirror folds back.

the bulb failure warning is for a parking light? be aware, your very complex and clever car will illuminmate alternate bulbs in case of certain bulb failure. eg side light insted of indicator, or some such. have a check.

and that 'somethings running' noise will most probably be your sbc pump doing its thing, normal and correct, as others have suggested.

The mirror could also just be to stiff and need a little PTFE sprayed into the moving joint

Niggly Probs

Thanks guys, i went out, turned the ignition ( no engine running ) and pumped the brake, after 4 or 5 pumps the whirring noise came and went. So it must be the sbs pump as you suggested. I will get an auto electrician to check the mirror and i will fit a new parking bulb, in case that one is faulty.

Thanks again everyone. :)

They will fit the mod to your car ,and that will reduce the noise by quite a long way
