Your SBC pump sounds like it's failed.
What mileage has it done?

Under the bonnet, drivers side in front of wheel arch.

Where are you located? We may be able to suggest somewhere to get it sorted.

These have a lifespan of around 80-120k before they throw a white warning and 120-200k before a red one.
The failure is normally worn brushes in the motor.
The counter will also need resetting.

Putting it on diagnostics will confirm this but the symptom of no noise when unlocking (which is the pump priming) sounds very much like it.

Could try a tap on the motor casing, see if it bursts into life, but I certainly wouldn’t recommend driving it even if it does

You could check the pump connector.
I'd be surprised if it has come loose.

Not all diagnostics can read all codes. The simple fact there's a red warning says there is a fault and if there's a fault that turns on a warning there's a code.

If you're spanner handy you can remove the pump and send it to JohnnySBC to recondition. This will cost around a half of what a main dealer will charge just for parts (if not less). Expect around £300-400 from JohnnySBC.

It’s a lot of aggro with bleeding and everything. I wouldn’t bother. Turnaround on repair is only a few days.
