NO DASHBOARD ELECTRICS

hello,

Im new so please bear with me.

I have a 54 plat ML270 great car love it. My friends a mechanic so has serviced it for me, changed oil, filters etc. He hasnt touched anything electric BUT on turning the key through to ignition there are NO lights on th dash, no mielage display etc

He's checked all the fuses non have gone.

Any ideas ??

hello,

yes the car starts fine the radio works.

there are no heater controls and nothing onthe dash but the battery light does come on.

I did have a new battery put on it earlier on in the year

This could be the ignition switch has failed rather than the instrument cluster.

You will have to get the car on STAR to see what is wrong, do you have a good indie near where you live

An indie is an independent Mercedes engineer that will have the STAR test set.

If you go to top right of your screen you will see the Mercedes specialist finder, you can use that to find someone or maybe we can recommend one.
