No Electrics - Dead Car

I have a 1998 E 240 Elegance Saloon. The problem is starting the car. There seems to be no electrics, even though I have fitted a new battery. The alarm does not work and when I insert the key - it does not turn.

Any ideas ?

If your battery is good then it seems that your electronic ignition switch has gone down.

There isnt a repair and replacement is required. they are only obtainable from mb and need to be programed for your car.
