Hello everybody, new boy here.
I've just been and viewed a 1982/83 280SE. Is that a W126? It has been parked for a while as the car started cutting out whilst driving, and after a while stopped and would just not go again. I strongly suspect the fuel pump relay. As it started breaking down, it would cut out every now and then, but to me, it seems like it has now failed completely. While looking over it this morning, the owner and myself sprayed some easy start into the intake, and it really tried to fire, in fact it ran for a second or so.
I've never owned a Mercedes before, but I'm really tempted by this one. It's a fine looking vehicle.
If needed, would anyone here have a spare fuel pump relay?
