Have you tried turning the switch anti-clockwise/clockwise the same switch to reset the odometer by pressing it for a few seconds.

Yes you do need to pull the cluster out and the lamps are replaced from the rear

Check the switch first. It a bigger job to pull out the whole instrument cluster and may even scratch the plastic front panel.

What they are saying you have to remove the whole instrument cluster off the dashboard. It a bigger job, check the switch first, the bulb may not be blown. If it blown you have no choice but to pull the whole thing out and find the bulb. If you aredgood enough you can grope around to find the bulb with the instrument cluster ajar.

To pull the cluster out you do need the 2 special hooks,, many MB dealers will pull the cluster out for you, and you can change the bulb on the spot.

There is no switch for this

Dragon,,the dimming switch that you refer to is for all of the lamps and not just the speedo lamp.

The bulb has blown and must be replaced

The dimmer switch is for the speedo, try this one first as it simple, if it does not work then try removing the whole lot.

I removed the whole instr cluster it a bigger job.
