I've got 412 Sprinter which has been ultra reliable and has covered over 250,000 miles and never misses a beat. The thing is the rear axle whines around 50-60 but is fine below this speed and you can sort of play it on the throttle if you know what I mean, it gets noiser in a droning kind of way the faster you go but seems to subdue to a steadier noise once cruising at 70 or so. My question is this, is it worth getting it repaired/replaced or will it be alright for a while longer? Ta;)

The answer to that is, can you put up with the noise, and can you handle getting stuck if it breaks.?
