non standard fogs ?

i have 1997, E 300, W210 Auto Estate, Turbo Diesel.
both fog lights are badly corroded and need replacing.
problem is that when i check fogs that are listed, they appear to be a different shape.
suggested shape is rather square whereas my fitted fogs are 'eye' shaped ?

was there an early change of these lights or has a previous owner had a prang and replaced the front valance with a newer one, hence newer fogs.
is only way to tell what i've got... to remove them to obtain part number ?
next question:
is removal an easy operation ?

If your car is fitted with the AMG body kit, then the fog lamps are oval/eye shaped, the worst part is no parts for these, just complete new lamps.

not an AMG version just normal spec except for the pair of front fogs.

i am prepared to buy new parts as complete corrosion has ruined them...

are they easy to get out or is it a garage job ?

Malcolm is correct and it may be that your vehicle has an AMG bumper fitted

They are easy to remove....remove undershield and a couple of bolts/screws
