checked fuel line to injector pump switched on ignition pumped for a few seconds then stopped turned motor over and continously pumped out fuel
slacked off injector lines top of pump turned motor over but only got slight seepage of fuel
tried this with air flap open as well as closed

fuel pump relay

situated behind battery. check whether fuse on top of relay has blown. intact fuse does NOT mean relay is good.

after that, check OVP relay next door.

If the problem is the FPR, it is worth bearing in mind that the part can be fixed / lubricated without the need to replace the item at around £150. Not everyone will risk taking them apart!

If you can, try it with a known good one to test.

if i got the right pipe its ok
comes out about bottom middle of injector unit goes into a cylinder with electrical conector on other end then comes out and goes down to block through middle of intake manifold?

took out injector on no. 5 cyl turned engine over nothing from injector
took pipe off end of injector and turned engine over and got a small amount of fuel doesnt seem alot

whilst checking these i noticed a pool of fluid in the inlet manifold under the butterfly valve which turned out to be petrol
could it be running down the manifold from injectors? confused as they dont appear to deliver

Hi

Sounds as if you have found the right pipe. You can't check the injectors in the way you have described. Its normal to find excess fuel in the bottom of the plenham chamber. Usually on high millage vehicles.

If you have checked the normal stuff. Then I can only suggest you get it into your local specialist.
