non working central locking w168 1999 v

i opened the black box on the side of the vacum pump and everything looked fine the vacum pump operates everything when the button on the dash is pressed and if i lock the car with the button from the inside then open the drivers door all locks rise so the pump seems to be working fine

Try any fuses remotely associated with central locking or alarm and check any vacant fuse slots.
Other than that, must be either the remote or whatever receives a signal from the remote, is faulty.

I’m all out of ideas other than opening the remote fob to inspect the PCB, be very careful that you don’t lose any small components or immobiliser chip… if there is a chip?.... inside the remote.

have already checked fuses but will check again thanks for the advice anyway
