Had a post on here a while back with symptoms of lack of power, acceleration and poor fuel economy, i was advised on here that it could be my MAF but wouldnt know without a diagnostic check, so i just had one carried out by hometune, sherburn-in-elmet, his machine came up with the fault code P0130 which is the O2 sensor, so without delay ive now changed the O2 sensor and my car runs even worse, do i need to clear the fault code first? Any ideas?

Before I changed my MAF, I ran the car without it connected ( just disconnected the electrical socket) It accelerated much better and almost behaved as normal. Changed the MAF for a new one and it runs as new again.
Doing the same might help you diagnose the problem a bit easier.

Allan

PS, it took the car a day or so to perform at its best, I think the ECU will adjust its settings to try and compensate for faulty sensors, but after a few starts, it seems to recalibrate itself to the new stuff. Well ,thats how it seems to me!

I'd go with the MAF too.
My o2 sensor was diagnosed is just outside tolerance. Ordered a new one but 2 days later she dropped into safe mode. Garage changed the o2 sensor but no improvement, then changed the MAF - all fine again. Whether there was anything wrong with the o2 sensor I'll never know but the MAF sorted it. Allegedly a duff MAF can kill the o2 sensor - I guess by running with poor mixture.
