Hi

I have a Mercedes C200 Kompressor 2001 Saloon. I have been getting a P0131error code for the 02 Sensor. Low voltage Bank 1 Sensor 1. Could someone please send photos of where this sensor is located, or send my links. Even better any videos of how to change it. Also can someone recommend the best place to get replacement parts for this sensor etc..

Thanks you in advance

Hej Mark, do not forget that the MAF is the main reason for the 02 sensor to turn on the engine lamp.

Firstly the O2 sensor is in the exhaust downpipe, you will need to get under the vehicle to change.

I would also unplug the cam magnet at the front of the engine and check for an oil leak into its wiring plug. If there is oil there, check the MAF as Malcom has suggested and then go to the engine ECU and check for oil there too.

If there is oil there, clean out the MAF, engine ECU and replace the O2 sensor. You may find you will have to repeat the cleaning process about 3 times until the loom is fully clean.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the information. However I am a bit a of newb when it comes to this. Can anyway send photos of the parts I need to clean like the MAF, and where the cam magnet is. Does anyone have any videos or photo's on how to do this kind of work.

Do you know where I can purchase a new O2 sensor as well

Cheers

You will find the MAF at the far end of the air intake box, the box fits over the MAF.... you need to do this first, you can even unplug the connector on the MAF and see if it runs better, if it does, replace it,

Yes that is the O2 sensor.

The cam magnet is on the front of the engine.

The first picture you have put up is of a SAM cover and isn't the air box.

A large picture of the whole engine bay and we can point it out.

Hi Alexander

I have a new problem. I have exceeded the limit of data I can upload for the photos and I cannot see how to remove them.

Can I email it to you?

Cheers
