Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum. I currently own a Mercedes VClass 250D AMG line which I’m looking to sell. When I bought the vehicle 2 years ago I noticed that it was registered at the dvla as a V250 D Bluetec. I contacted the dealer and explained this and he went to Mercedes for the Oasis Report which gives you full description and spec and indeed it was confirmed as an AMG Line. The guy at Mercedes explained that this is not unusual as entries are put in manually at dvla and if they don’t write full description this is what their system can default to?
2 years later and I’m now selling my vehicle but concerned that this will be more difficult as I’ve had a few people who have been really interested but then went cold and I’m concerned that it’s because of this mistake at dvla. Does anyone know if this can be changed at DVLA and if so how long it’s likely to take?

Your car is a Mercedes 250d Bluetec the ‘AMG Line’ is purely cosmetic body styling so won’t affect resale. The DVLA aren’t interested in AMG Line but are interested in the Bluetec because that designates the car is EU6 compliant ie fitted with an ADBLUE system.

Thanks very much for the reply. The issue I have is when I put registration into autrader the valuation is £6000 lower than it should be. When I manually change it it then gives me a greater value because of the AMG styling/extras. and I was concerned that this would affect my ability to sell as any would be buyer when they check registration of car it comes up as a Bluetec. I have the Oasis report now sent to me from Mercedes so hope that this will help anyone who has a doubt about it.
