Got an odd noise form the back of the car when ticking over (can't hear it driving), sounds like a high pitch wine the sort you would hear from a belt pulley but not as loud. When I heard it from outside the car as you can’t inside I immediately went for the engine but to my surprise it was from the back. Sounds like from the Diff area???

Any ideas?

Also probably of no connection at all but it stinks under the back like horse manure which means its probably has been through some but thought I would mention it just in case it means some thing lol.

Cheers

Good point. Its an auto box and never heard one make any noise before, also the noise was at the back well away form box. Could be fuel pump as suggested, i need to get in there and listen properly but i think a pressure wash first to get rid of the manure hahahahaha.

Cheers

Maybe, I will listen more tomorrow but could well be. I got a manual so i will locate the pump and check it out.

Cheers.

perhaps the fuel filter is getting clogged due to not being changed at correct interval, and therefore the pump is having to work that much harder and will eventually possible burn out - it is an urgent matter.

Good point David and so often these things hardly ever get changed
