S class v6
Hello Guys, I am planning to buy Xentry C6 that supports DAS, with software updated V12.2020. My car is MB S400 Hybrid and I got my inverter damaged last time. I am looking to do an upgrade on the power control module +all car system for the latest version. Do you think the software V12.2020 capable to do that by offline updating ? or I need SCN online updating?

Watching with interest.will be in shock if that can be done offline and without a specific benz authorisation .if we could that would be circumnavigating benz and I sure they would move heaven and earth to stop that happening.

I belive basically nothing is possible offline anymore... But because discussion of clone SDS is forbidden on forum, you must refer to original one and then you will have online account too.

Welcome, post up some pics of your car when you get time. Is the Hybrid any good on those bigger brutes?

you can.... but it might have interesting consequences....

two vital steps will be missing

there will be no SCN to validate the software you apply is Merc approved valid software for that module
there will be no SCN set up of various components post update. Potentially leaving air bags muddled, seat belt buckles confused, and maybe even leaving exterior lights on, other offs, no calibration of rain light sensor etc.

To tackle such a job on a Hybrid even the dealers fail to comprehend in anyway shape or form, should prove an interesting (but very expensive) project. I can see inverters, batteries and brake regen having a field day bowing disgracefully with min 5k a piece replacement costs

on the same forum meki77 originally posted asking that question, a bloke today has just updated his S65 with a fake Chinese copy of dealer tools and he now has issues. He was brave enough to flash his engine and gearbox ECUs with the battery at 10 volts and fake tools. Now he's asking how to fix it???

Much like another guy that wasn't reading the whole thread very well...

I had written dealer tools will NOT allow any programming unless on a power supply holding the vehicle at 14.2 volts - Then I said don't upgrade the DTR (active cruise module) the update isn't an improvement on the w221

So this clever guy then flashed it with low volts with fake tools and killed his cruise control.... three weeks later after visiting two "expert garages" confident they could sort the car, he luckily got hold of a new radar module and managed to get it up and running again.
