Oil Additives

I have recently been recommended an engine and auto box treatment called Prolong, ( http://www.prolong-uk.com/new/index.html ). In one test they treated a car with the stuff, then drained all the oil out and drove around New York all day. The car was fine. So, has anybody on here tried the stuff or does anybody have any comments, positive or negative.

Have read the terms and conditions, manufacturing defects,, wear not covered, there isn't cover beyond your normal statutory rights ie; if you put prolong in and you can prove Prolong ALONE ! destroyed your engine you have a claim (at their discretion) limited to £3,000 pays money take choice springs to mind, how much is it?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Wasnt doing it for the warrenty, my MB is 16 years old with 190K on the clock so its not covered anyway, I was just wondering whether it was a geniue product for extra protection in both the Auto Gearbox and Engine or just a waste of money.
Its not that expensive in reality, approx £20 for the engine stuff I believe, when if it can protect the engine more effectively than normal oils then prehaps it might be worth buying?
