Hi all
I hope someone could give me a bit of advice.
My pt cruiser has got a bit of a problem.
2.2 litre diesel engine made by mercedes 95000 miles and oil has decided to escape innto cooler.
no oil in engine according to dipstick
no water in oil as oil filler cap looks normal..
various pt dealers and garages have not heard of this problem but all say head gasket ??.
Spoke to a sprinter repair man and said may be oil cooler.
no money for garage to repair due to poor finance at present.
no pt manual on diesel engines (great i know)
Any one come across this before and and how easy is it to change or fix oil cooler.
were is oil cooler on sprinter..

Well i hope someone could help or at least give a few suggestions from a depressed pt owner
Stan

Yeah done quite a few on Sprinters, down by the oil filter, aluminium thing squarish with casting lines on it. But if it's gone there will be water in the oil or oil in the water.
