Hi
I’m new to the site and have owned a lot of Mercedes I no most common faults but
I was hoping someone could help me with a problem I have il try to keep short lol
My car broke down on the motorway
2012 Mercedes c220cdi 125kw amg plus 7g auto 80k owned for 3yrs
My wife said it made a weird noise and it felt like it started a dragging feeling as she kicked down then it started smoking she managed to get to hard shoulder turn it off then she tried to start again and it started but was running really rough
Then cut out wouldn’t start that’s when we got it recovered
The garage said more than likely turbo
so had that replaced yesterday 11/06/21 with a good used low mileage turbo with warranty
they called today and said the new turbo was doing the same throwing the oil straight thru it into the Dpf again
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks for looking

did your mechanic even suggest the pcv / crank case valve.

If not he is crap.

I mean, a stream of oil out of the turbo into the dpf is excessive even for a crankcase valve. PCV also goes into the intake so engine would likely runaway if it was pcv related. if not turbo, then internal engine issue.

Probably not a bad idea to get a second opinion! :)

Do you know where to find it ?
Also do you no the location of the part ?
I think it’s on top of the valve cover on top of the engine not sure tho
Thanks

It may not be the definitive cause of your issue but a relative cheap check.

Did you get a second opinion.

2nd opinion should be mandatory - not just a thought.... You shouldn't spend serious money without double checking. PCV is a red herring. Your mechanic has already made one error at your cost. Easy to throw money at it.
