oil leak ml 270

Hi,
My ml 270 went in to the local garage for a service today and the mechanic has told me that it needs a new / replacement steering rack and there is an oil leak from behind the high pressure pump. I'm looking for a rack (any Ideas?) and also he didn't know if he could take the pump off and replace the gasket without messing up the timing. Can anyone help Please?

the high pressure pump can be removed without worring about the timing, its driven of a idler pulley and has its own drive key which comes of with it. simply remove the 3 trox screws, remove pipes and wigle off!
the seal is a single rubber o-ring type.
