Oil light on A140

Hi People

I am new here and hello

I have been having a little problem i think with the oil i think.

On the dash board of my A140 where the clock bit is the oil sign comes up with the word HI beside it and a beep noise. this happens when i am on the motorway traveling at about 75/80 or in traffic stuck in 1st gear.

Does anyone know the problem ?

Have you checked the oil with the dipstick?

Has it been serviced recently?

My Wifes A does this too, personally think its a faulty oil level sensor on ours but check the dip stick first.

I have checked the dipstick and the oil is fine and the service is due in January or in 5000 mile.

So that HI bit means the oil is getting hi or over heating ?

Is there a radiator in this thing or is it a oil cooling pack thing ?

I think its just the sensor playing tricks thats all. Whats your mileage?

HI on the dash means reduce the oil level!!!
