does anyone know what is the best tool for tightening the engine oli pan, i have a very slight leak from the 3 front pan bolts, they look to be a tapered star ?

You can buy a set of E sockets from Halfords at £13 or from screwfix, I think that the Screwfix has more sizes

thanks Malcom, i had never seen these things before lol, any ideas what the right size is, it looks like 8mm but i dont want to go and buy half a dozen sizes lol

Just buy the set, Look up Screw fix item 17465-83 a 23 piece set for £14.99 with all of the sizes that you will ever need

I do not know how they work the sizes out, the E6 that I used to repair my ABS pump was so tiny, and had no connection with any mm size. I saw the Halfords set today, their tools are quite good
