Oil question - not technical, rather - where to buy?

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me where I can find Mobil Synt S 5W-40 around London? I popped into the local Halfords, they didn't have anything save for Halfords-branded synthetic.

If you want the latest 229.5 spec oil, it does not matter who makes it, Shell helix is one that does this oil. It will say on the can,conforms to MB229.5

Thanks for the info... there is a Shell around the corner from me.

The car has always been fed Mobil, and I was after a litre to keep in the boot. I just used up my top-up litre on the way back to the UK and I can't seem to find the stuff anywhere.

Is it OK to mix, for example, Shell and Mobil syth oil?

Yes it is OK to mix, and MB gave me a Shell top up liter after they filled the car with Mobile
