Hi guys

I am reassembling my engine after replacing the block in this freezing weather and I'm almost there and should have it running tomorrow finally.

As it has been a while since I took all the ancillaries off I have forgotton what is connected to the oil return hole in the cylinder block. It's the return hole that is to the right of the turbocharger oil return to the sump.

I have a haynes manual but cannot make out what goes in there from the rubbish black and white pics the size of a postage stamp!

Can anyone enlighten me or perhaps direct me to a pic or drawing of the area.

Many thanks!

Paul

sorted!

I replaced the block of my 270 CDI C class with a block from an E Class (I think) and this has an extra oil return pipe. I examined my original block and found a brass bung in there with I will remove tomorrow and fit to the new block.

Thought it might help of I posted it just in case anyone has the same issue in the future..
