W202 250D
Hi all

I have had three old Mercedes-Benz in the past - a W116 350SE, a 280SE (can't remember what W number it had - it was an 1982 IIRC), and a W123 240D (wish I still had that car).

A friend here on the farm in Portugal has a W202 250D and he has the starting problem caused by air ingressing the injection system. He has apparently had the clear pipes and O-rings changed, as well as some seal between the shut-off valve and the block, but still nothing has cured the problem. There is a language barrier, and I don't want to throw shade but I am not sure about the mechanic he has been using.

My friend is an accountant and NOT mechanically minded.

So, I will be trawling through the forums here to see if I can find the fix...maybe the O-rings on the shut-off valve ends and maybe something on the....is that a pre-heater below and connected by a short pipe to the shutoff valve??
Maybe something on the injector pump??
I may as well do the whole lot.

Anyway, I will take a look around for what I need....thanks in advance for the info I will find.
Cheers!
