As this problem has been bugging me for a while I bought a new set of batwing turbo inlet seals but as this isn’t a total solution I also purchased a stainless steel shield that locates just below the turbo inlet seal and above the inlet swirl flap motor to catch any dripping oil/fluid and directing it away. All yet to be fitted that fun awaits in a couple of months time. I came across this on YouTube and as it looked well engineered and a similar solution had crossed my mind some time ago thought it worth a try and it also saved me the bother of fabricating one myself. I‘d also contemplated using a catch can but wasn’t convinced as 90% of what was distilled from the crankcase vent was water from my research.

It's all you need really, as nice as that stainless steel cover looks the £35 price tag threw me towards Tesco's bacofoil . Every little helps .

I ordered one of these yesterday, no leaks yet but just in case it leaks in the future.

With that fitted ,any leaks will still run off to the motor area. Best to keep the turbo seal in good order.
