OM656 continues to impress

Wasn't sure exactly what to expect from the All Terrain in terms of fuel economy, after all, 3litre, 340 bhp, permanent 4 wheel drive etc. however I was very impressed with this one run from Birmingham to Southampton

Doing better than me. I just about manage 50 mpg driving like my gran. Lots of hills here which I’m going to blame.

In my 2014 Eclass, 220 cdi with the 722.9 7G transmission, best I can get is 28mpg..having said that, 90% of my driving is on hilly secondary roads, with 50 mph limits, so the car rarely sees 6th never mind 7th gear. But on a recent long motorway trip it returned an impressive 5.7 ltrs / 100 klms according to the computer. Next refill will tell the true story.

Struggling to get more than 45mpg out of my E400d, i just assumed that was due to weight/fat tyres/4wd... and am otherwise impressed that the big motor can even do 45mpg with a 3.0l boosted diesel!

Give it another 50k miles for the engine to loosen off and you’ll see 50mpg+

eh ? that cant be right ? have you actually worked this out or just took the computer readout and posted it up ? that's better fuel economy than most shopping cars pal
