As Andy ^ says you were very lucky. Now do you believe in fate, I do ! That is why you are still here to tell the story. :)

Very lucky there Karl, lets hope no one was unlucky after you that night.
Amazing how people can get it so wrong and yet it happen far to often.

Frightening. Happened to me once on the Croyden flyover. Old boy in a hat in outside lane going the wrong way. The only way he could have been there was by driving up the off ramp. There was just enough room for me to squeeze into the inside lane. Brown trow time. Glad you missed him.

Happened to me too...just.

Old boy going up the slip road to join motorway turned right in a U fashion...I joined just behind him and emergency braked to avoid a head on. He then looped back to face the right way and continue his journey.

I've met a few going the wrong way around roundabouts. Some seem annoyed you're in their way!

Shocking viewing. An extremely fortunate outcome considering the situation.

Lucky escape there!

Now, if he had been running some dodgy led replacement headlight bulbs that could have been a very different story ;)

Have you sent the clip to the police? They may be able to get the front number plate off the video footage (notwithstanding the glare from the clearly dodgy headlights ;))

I know the A505 quite well, it's a tricky road at night with all the bends and hills. A car coming at you unexpectedly is not going to do the heart rate any good. Lucky escape for you and especially the driver that overtook you seconds before.

I have come across a car driving west on the east bound A47 dual carriage way at Swaffham awhile back at night, bit scary after they had already passed at 70mph.
Sometimes medical conditions have caused this unusual directional driving behaviour, as well as idiots!
