The tree cut the car in half right down the middle. When the rescue service come along they cut the roof off I don't think they needed to in this case...I wonder how much was tree, and how much was rescuer's saws.
That is one of Omni's beloved skodas I sent those pictures to him awhile ago. It is only 1 car and the driver has to be thankful that it is LHD

Correct JB, we have cut cars here all the time. One bad knock and they fall appart, even split in half.9/10 times when a car comes apart like that it's because it was a cut and shut. Otheriwse they generally bend and fold up. Had a ford near us do something similar after plouging under a truck. The driver wasn't so lucky on that one but whilst the front was under the truck, the back end was 30yds down the road.
It's possible I suppose but I suspect if they look into the origins of that car they'll find a lot of welding
I think Blobcat's saying it might as well be a Skoda, seeing as it's all part of VAG.
