Seems an odd thread this. Alot of damage OP joins today and not wanting to use insurance.
Thats alot of damage to not use an insurance co.
Why the reluctance to not go via ins o why the need to pay private. Looking at the damage its a fair whack.

my insurance is sky high as it is, hence wanting to avoid if possible

insurance is sky high as itis, hence not wanting to use it

Then get your car to a MB indy of an accident repair centre and let them do the maths.

You do also have to declare involvements in accidents and renewal time.
