optical fibre to cd changer

hi has anyone fitted the cable from the radio to the cd change and if so what snags if any and bast way to route cable

Hi,
I suppose this is a model built after 1999.
It's worth checking on the back of the radio, as some have been pre-wired.
If it is just need to find the other ends in the boot.
There should be 2 connectors: one for the fibre optic and the other for the power supply.
If it is an earlier model, make sure that you get the correct CD Changer.
The fibre optic type will not work with older model radios
Ask the dealer where in the boot it's fitted as a factory option
If not,You need to run the cables along that side from the radio to the changer.
There is room along the door sills. You need to lift the carpets and you will see some other cables already there. It's quite time consuming but much cheaper than the stealer to do it for you
