Does anyone have (or know where to find) clear instructions for how to remove the windscreen sensor cover, rear view mirror and overhead control panel on a W211? I have the Ha*nes manual but it's short and not at all clear.

the video shows a lot of intricate detail popping off trim and fighting many time consuming steps - unfortunately, whilst very good its a tight space, and the video's quite dark so can't fully see all aspects

but after hours (ok a few mins fiddling), we appear to have spent all the time just to get to the point where you pop off the mirror from its housing - from what I could see - much of that trim will pop away when you just rip down the mirror anyway (and it looks as if it might have been designed to cope with this much faster removal method)
