Hello to everyone!

I’m new on forum and wish to find solution to my problem and the person who is in need.

My car is a180 cdi 2015 with OM607 engine (W176)

I’m getting P149B25 error code on my car since July. It says: Component B157/2 (Low pressure exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor) reporting error.

Don’t have performance related issues on my car, only engine light is on.

The sensor is replaced recently and still getting the same error. So they looked deeper. Cable system is okay. But found that the exhaust flap(throttle)’s maneuver is very limited. Now they say they have to change all the pipe and it should solve the problem. They will also clean the EGR Valve.

So, they charge me a huge price but I’m not sure if it will solve the problem.

I’ve searched the whole forum and other countries’ forums but come up empty handed. There isn’t any information regarding P149B25 error code.

What are your thoughts? Has anyone encountered such problem before?

That's the K9 engine I believe? I've had problems with that low pressure EGR temp sensor on our X-trail that has the same engine. On the first occasion there was a error I discovered the sensor had actually managed to somehow become unscrewed and fell out. It was after about a year of ownership, so I assume it must have been replaced and not tightened correctly.
Then fast forward two years I had an error again,.looking again at the live data I could temp was reporting 0. I found jiggling the wires it came back, so I have a bad connection somewhere. It's a pig to get to in the Nissan, so haven't got around to properly fixing, but the fault hasn't come back yet, so I've not been forced to.

What was the full description of the fault P149B25? Can you see live data for the sensor? Does it read? Does it move? That might give a clue. Check for the fault description in Nissan forums too.

The exhaust valve I expect to only move a bit, it's only job is to increase back pressure to increase the pressure differential across the LP EGR valve. It can't close too.much or it would cause high back pressure affecting volumetric efficiency of the engine. LP EGR systems are prone to getting clogged, so it's possible the pipe and debris filter is clogged, but checking the data should give you some confidence if this is the case.
