Has anyone got any ideas what this could be ?
I have a 6 month old Sprinter 313 cdi (2.2) that has developed an annoying problem. After running for a couple of hours it will lose power under acceleration for 3 or 4 seconds, the EDC light will come on and then it will run ok for a while.
I have had it into the Merc dealer twice and it has still not been resolved. The first time they "changed a starter relay" ??? and the next time they "bled the fuel and cleaned the sensors". Fair enough, when they road test it for 10 minutes the fault never occurs so it is difficult to diagnose.
A friend of mine plugged it into his diagnostic and it came up with "P2007 feed pressure monitor". It is due for a service shortly and I was hoping that I could possibly do their job for them and tell them where to look.
Thanks in advance.

p2007 code

Hi Steve
Hope you have not got same problem as me, I have a 313CDi (2001 model) and have a similar problem ie, engine dies for a second or two, but only when driving and engine is at normal running temp'.

There is no other problem with engine at any other time, although one difference, my EDC lamp does not illuminate, I can tell you I am at my wits end with this.

To date, we have had the fuel filters changed, engine management checked (no re-occuring codes), engine management scoped while fault occurs on road (no change to wave forms) and finally, the ECU sent away for specialist check(no fault found)

The general census among the electronic whizz kids, is that it is a fueling fault, however, to date, the diesel guys cannot come up with an answer.

As the fault does not stop me using the vehicle, and the obvious costs involved, I am putting up with it at the moment, however, I would be eternally gratefull if you could pass on anything your guys might come up with to exact a cure.

Sorry this is a whinge rather than cure but at least it lets you know you are not alone.

Regards, Derek
