Hi Malcolm W.

I was curious about this website and keyed in my VIN. I was very surprised at the amount of information it contained, especially with the list of options (with codes) fitted to my car. There is much new information which I have never seen before. It even listed the manufacturing details.

The database lists my paint as 'emerald green + black' which was another revelation. I knew it was generically described as 'green+black' but never knew the shade. I also thought my car was originally shod with Continentals but the Russian database states Pirelli.

Frankly, I'm amazed to find this kind of information on a Russian website. I wonder where they get their feed from? Could it be there's an owner-accessible database of servicing data on the Web too?

I've printed off a copy to put in my handbook. I recommend other members having a browse of this website. It's certainly interesting.

I think the Russian website is an old scan-dump of the MB parts catalogue.

Anyone with the new EPC can bring up that data

Those codes do change slightly over the years
